Softcircus–Blog back in action!
I have been a Lazy Boy– but after an extended hiatus, Softcircus is back in action! I cannot believe how long its been since I’ve updated the blog. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve written anything new as the most recent posts were penned by my buddy Patrick last September. A lot has happened since then including several magazine articles and our (Patrick and me) annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas in January for International CES 2014. As well, I’ve been wrapping up a technical writing programme at Mount Royal University in Calgary while holding down a full time job–naturally all this activity cuts into the recreational writing time!
I can’t promise daily updates (I never could), but I do have a little more time on my hands these days. I’ve started reviving the blog by getting the PDF archive of my magazine articles a little more up to date. In addition to my work with Print Action magazine I wrote a few pieces for Canadian Electronics Magazine as well as Design Product News while at CES on topics such as 3D printing, motion sensors and the driverless car experience. I don’t have PDF copies of these articles, but I will scan them an post them here. My original articles for these magazines ran quite a bit longer than the published versions, so I’ll be posting the unabridged versions with lots of pictures from CES in the coming weeks.
I know I’ve said this before, but stay tuned…
