Hi Zac: Great article on Windows 7. I have been running Vista now for about a year-and-a-half and haven’t really had any problems. Since Windows 7 came out I was thinking about purchasing the new OS. I have read some other reports that echo what you wrote. Is it worth it to change? My needs are probably different from yours as I use my computer for home use. Please let me know. Thanks.

    Hi Tim,
If your home computer runs slowly enough that it has you thinking about buying a new one, then you should take a look at Windows 7 — it will be cheaper than a new PC. Like I said, Windows 7 seems to run significantly faster than Vista in most tasks. Just be sure to check that all the software you use on a regular basis is compatible with Win 7 before you change. Also, I’ve not done an “upgrade” yet, but I’ve heard it can be a bit of a pain. You might just be better off doing a clean install and copying everything over. Let me know how it works out…
